Software Deployment Lead


The incumbent will provide operationally relevant support for DPSS software to COCOMs, Special Operations Command, and Foreign Militaries' Sales.He/she shall:1. Be responsible for requirements collection, software testing and documentation of DPSS applications.2. Create and maintain end-user instruction in support of domestic and Foreign Military Sales customer bases.3. Provide classroom and practical instruction on the operational and tactical employment of DPSS applications used in higher-echelon Operations Centers in support of the Joint Targeting Cycle (JTC).4. Work with DPSS software developers and Technical Writers to develop, publish, and maintain related software documentation.5. Travel both CONUS and OCONUS in support of software deployment and training for DPSS customers.6. Courier classified software and hardware from the DPSS lab to customers (including internationally).7. Assist DPSS Training Project Manager in execution of tasks.Education: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent.Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Selected candidate must haveten (10) years of Targeting Analyst experience, at least six (6) of which must be as active duty in a US military service.REQUIRED:

  • Must have current targeting experience in an active SOCOM theater of war.

  • Must be a qualified Target Coordinate Mensuration Instructor with certifications for training US and FMS partner Targeting Cell personnel.

  • Must hold a current Collateral Damage Estimation qualification to the Joint Targeting Schoolhouse standard. PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of the current DPSS tools that are offered for DoD and FMS customers

  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures entailed in the establishment and maintenance of MIDB and/or other targeting databases.

  • Prior experience in interagency (military, non-military, foreign partner) cooperation for targeting analysis

  • Documented formal training in targeting analysis, possessing the following certifications: Precise Point Mensuration (PPM) and Collateral Damage Methodology (CDM), Advanced Target Development.
