Position Title Database Programmer 4
United States of America - Virginia
Participate in the requirements, definition, design, development, testing, and documentation of database systems. Analyze web application requirements, code, and documentation for database support and provide recommendations for improvements.
1.Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements.
2.Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
3.Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects. Preferably using ER diagrams.
4.Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems.
5.Develop database tables and dictionaries.
6.Ensure data quality and integrity in databases. Following normalization rules.
7.Identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
8.Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
9.Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
10.Test databases and perform bug fixes.
11.Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion.
12.Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.
13.Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency.
14.Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
15.Conversion of Data as Structure changes
16.Replication Maintenance and upgrades
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of job-related experience
Excellent communications and analytical skills
Demonstrated working knowledge and extensive experience of database technologies (i.e., SQL, Oracle, etc.)
Position requires ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational software.
Position may require limited travel.
Position requires the possession and maintenance of a Security Clearance.
Database Administrator (i.e., SQL, Oracle, ETC).
Database Development (i.e., SQL, Oracle, ETC).
Possess an Active Secret Clearance
