Instructor Artillery Systems Maintainer (91P10 Self-propelled) The Instructor/Writer shall provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, technical manuals, and student workbooks. Instructor shall administer performance based written tests and performance hands-on tests, conduct student critiques in accordance with USA ODS standard operating procedure, provide remedial training, and use proper questioning techniques, such as Ask-Pause-Call-Evaluate. The Instructor/Writer shall prepare classroom, training area, and training materials, review lesson plans, subject matter material, prepare recovery training aids, ensure use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all vehicle/equipment, conduct academic counseling, complete counseling record, grade written and performance tests, supervise students at all times, evaluate student performance, prepare reports and student documentation, review outdated training materials and lesson plans, recommend changes and evaluate training material and curriculum, assist job analysis review, task inventory, job task data cards, and task analysis information sheets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical experience which includes, but is not limited to, knowledge and hands-on skills in performing various automotive applications consisting of repairs on track, hydraulics, diesel engine, drive train, brakes, all Turret functions, maintenance and repair, etc.

  • Graduate of the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC) or its equivalent. Please attach Certificate of Completion.

  • Graduate of the Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC). Please attach Certificate of Completion.

  • Pass the student test prior to performing on this task order IAW OD Reg. 350-18.

  • Three years (3) specific experience in teaching, development or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals for vocational or military training.

  • Capable of instructing Basic Electronics Maintenance Training (BEMT) portion of the POI including but not limited to these fields of electronics study: Theory, application, and troubleshooting of DC circuits, generation and connection of three-phase AC power sources, description and operation of basic electronic devices, test and troubleshoot wiring systems using handheld digital mustimeters, and principles of operation of both generators and motors.

  • Meet training, technical and tactical certification of course content and documented experience level requirements as defined in the Course Management Plan.

  • Basic mathematical skills up to and including roots and powers and metric notation

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint to ensure ability to access all required training tools.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding MOS or ASI-specific training.

  • Superior written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to obtain a CAC and pass background check.
